Gifts sent to Truong Sa (Source: VNA)

(VOVworld) - On the occasion of the approaching Lunar New Year festival, a TV programme was broadcast live on Monday from central Khanh Hoa province and two sites on Truong Sa island district.

From Truong Sa district, Pham Van Hoa, Chairman of the Truong Sa District People’s Committee, and Trinh Cong Ly, Chairman of Sinh Ton commune’s People’s Committee, said that thanks to the special attention paid by the Vietnam Navy Service, Khanh Hoa province and people nationwide, many infrastructural works in the district and commune in particular have been built, giving a face-lift to the district and its communes and meeting local people’s needs.

Le Thanh Quang, the provincial Party Committee Secretary, wished local officials, soldiers and people a happy and warm New Year. He expressed his hope that they will obtain more achievements in 2014 and overcome all difficulties to maintain the country’s sacred territorial waters.
