At a meeting with the Khanh Hoa provincial Party Committee in Khanh Hoa province on Saturday to review the province’s implementation of political tasks in 2023 and orientations for 2024, Mr. Hue said the local income per capita remains lower than the average nationwide and more efforts are needed to make Khanh Hoa a centrally-run city.
He said: “The province is the regional connection hub and the main gateway to the East Sea for the Central Highlands and the South-Central Coastal region. Until 2030, there are two milestones: ending the 2021-2025 term and the time until 2030. Khanh Hoa must be aware of its challenges in realizing its goal of becoming a centrally-run city.”
Chairman of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province Nguyen Tan Tuan said that Khanh Hoa province completed and exceeded 20/22 socio-economic targets in 2023 with average annual GRDP growth in the 2021-2023 period reaching 8.15%, improvement recorded in culture, society, education, people's health protection, social security, labor and employment, and the poverty rate decreasing 2.11%.
