(VOVworld) – More than 1 million Khmer people in Vietnam’s southern provinces are celebrating the Sen Dolta festival.

This year, 300 households of Khmer people living in Rach Sen hamlet, My Xuyen district, Soc Trang province, enjoyed the festival with doubled joy as they welcomed a new road linking their hamlet with Highway 1A.  The most Venerable Tang No is Vice President of Soc Trang provincial Patriotic Monks’ Association: "We are very grateful for the Party and State’s support in giving local people loans and capital to improve their livelihoods, and building houses for them. They now no longer live in makeshift houses and their living standard has improved significantly."
