Kim Jong-un visits new General Satellite Control and Command Centre

(VOVworld) - Kim Jong-un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, has inspected a newly-built General Satellite Control and Command Centre and vowed to continue to develop its aerospace technology despite global sanction, according to the national news agency KCNA.

The state media didn’t mention when the visit was made but quoted Kim Jong-un as saying that the development for peaceful purposes is a choice of the Party and Korean people and a legitimate rights of this nation.

The center is under the National Aerospace Development Administration (NADA).

On Saturday, Pyongyang announced that it arrested a South Korean college student, holding a US green card, for illegal entry into the country.

Joo Won-moon, 21, from New York University, was caught on April 22 crossing from the Chinese side of the Yalu River. Joo admitted violating North Korean law, the KCNA said.
