Kremlin denies reports of phone call between Trump and Putin

(VOVWORLD) -The Kremlin on Monday denied reports that US President-elect Donald Trump had spoken to Russian President Vladimir Putin in recent days, and said Putin had no concrete plans yet to speak to Trump.

The Washington Post reported that the call had taken place, citing unidentified sources, but neither Russia nor the US has officially confirmed the report.

President Putin on Thursday congratulated Donald Trump on winning the US election and said Moscow is ready for a dialogue with the Republican president-elect. Trump told NBC last Friday that he had not yet spoken with the Russian leader but believed such a call was highly likely.
