Kurds withdraw from northern border areas of Syria
(VOVWORLD) - The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) led by the Kurds on Sunday said they will redeploy outside the Syrian border region to comply with a Russia-Turkey agreement in which Turkey backed forces will replace the SDF in this area.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), meanwhile, said more than 2,000 Syrian troops have been deployed along the M4 highway linking Hasakah with the northern province of Aleppo. According to the SOHR, the Syrian military units are escorted by Russian forces.
