(VOVworld) - The Communist Party of Vietnam and the Laotian People’s Revolutionary Party held a workshop in Hanoi on Tuesday to discuss socialist market economic development.

Head of the Party Central Committee’s Education and Communications Commission, Dinh The Huynh, praised the role of the Party in the socialist market economy and the renewed leadership in its development. Participants hailed major progress in Vietnamese and Laotian national development over the past 30 years. They analyzed the characteristics of a socialist market economy, the relations between the state, society and market as well as the impact on Party building and the assurance of social equality in market economic development.
