Lawmakers discuss revisions to vote of confidence regulations
(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly deputies on Tuesday discussed revisions to a draft resolution on votes of confidence for officials elected or approved by the National Assembly or People’s Councils.

The draft resolution aims to institutionalize the Party Politburo’s orientations on personnel work and votes of confidence on officials and managers within the political system, said Deputy Nguyen Thi Thanh.
"It’s crucial to adopt the resolution at the ongoing mid-year session in order to conduct votes of confidence at the year-end sessions of the National Assembly and People’s Councils,” she said.
The draft resolution states those who get two-thirds and above of the low confidence votes should be removed from their current positions, according to deputy Thanh.
