Under the masterplan, by 2050, Vietnam is set to become a developed nation with high income, full and harmonious socialist-oriented market economy institutions, equal, democratic and civilised society.
During the 2031-2050 period, the average GDP will grow by 6.5-7.5% annually. By 2050, the average GDP per capital will reach about 27,000-32,000 USD while the rate of urbanisation will hit 70-75%, matching Vietnam's development goals and global trends.
In his closing speech, Mr. Hue said lawmakers also adopted resolutions on the dismissal of two NA deputies and two Deputy Prime Ministers, and the appointment of two new Prime Ministers.
“Major, urgent issues decided at this session will help remove obstacles and create momentum for the fulfillment of 2023 missions,” he said.
Chairman Hue said as there will be more challenges than advantages this year, it’s crucial to fine-tune development institutions and create more spaces and impetus for development.
During the session, NA deputies also passed draft revisions on the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment and a resolution on the extension of some COVID-19 policies.
