(VOVworld) –Khalid Al Barnawi, leader of Nigeria’s Ansaru group, a Boko Haram splinter group aligned with al-Qaeda in North Africa, has been arrested, an army spokesman said on Sunday.

Barnawi is one of three Nigerians terrorists most wanted by the US. The others are Abubakar Shekau, leader of the Boko Haram, and Abubakar Adam, founder of Ansaru. Barnawi became Ansaru’s leader after Kambar was killed by the Nigerian army in 2012.
