Leaders of Australia, Canada, NZ jointly oppose Israel’s planned military offensive in Rafah

(VOVWORLD) - The Prime Ministers of Australia, Canada and New Zealand on Thursday issued a joint statement opposing Israel’s planned military operation in Rafah.
The three leaders affirmed that a military operation into Rafah would be catastrophic and stressed with the humanitarian situation in Gaza already dire, the impact on Palestinian civilians from an expanded military operation would be devastating.
The three leaders urged the Israeli government to stay off this path, saying Palestinian civilians should not be made to pay the price for defeating Hamas.
