At the meeting, Mr. Bergamini mentioned the expansion of the Gemalink port project in Cai Mep, Vung Tau province, the Lach Huyen port project in Hai Phong, and the inland port investment plan in southern Vietnam.
He said Vietnam is one the Group’s 20 strategic investment areas and said the Group is preparing to formally request that Vietnam issue a flight license to the CMA-CGM Air Transport Company (CC Air Cargo).
Prime Minister Chinh said Vietnam will support the Group's business investment in Vietnam, help CMA-CGM expand its investment in inland ports in southern Vietnam, and resolve any problems that might arise in granting a flight license to CC Air Cargo.
