(VOVworld) – The HCM National Academy of Politics and Public Administration held a symposium on Tuesday to discuss the development and application of Lenin’s ideology to Vietnam’s revolution to mark his 145^th birthday.

Delegates analyzed Lenin’s theory and the achievements of the Communist Party of Vietnam in supplementing and developing Marxist-Leninism. Director of the Academy of Politics, region 1, Doan Minh Huan said Lenin’s ideology remains valid in the construction of the Communist Party of Vietnam: “First, the party should always be in the vanguard in terms of theory in order to the lead the nation towards completing its revolutionary course. Second, the Party should be organized logically and abide by the principle of democratic centralism and discipline. Finally, Party members should be competent and close to the people. Lenin’s instructions are significant in the Vietnamese Party rectification and the construction of a socialist-state governed by law.”
