Playing the black pieces, Liem had difficulties attacking his opponent. Svidler tried to break Liem’s strong defence but Liem did not make any mistakes. After 24 moves, the two players agreed to end the match with their second draw in a row. After two draws, they will play a tie-break of rapid chess, which is Liem’s strength.
