He urged regular disinfection of places shared by quarantined people, safe distancing between them, further communications to raise public awareness of prevention and control measures, enhanced inspections, and strict penalty against violators of anti-pandemic regulations.
The Central Highlands province of Kon Tum on Monday activated the highest level of COVID-19 prevention and control measures, making wearing facemasks compulsory in public places. Unnecessary gatherings, including religious activities, are not allowed, and factories and businesses must strictly follow COVID-19 prevention and control regulations.
From now until June 16, no gatherings of more than 20 people, other than in schools, offices, or hospitals, are allowed in the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang. Public transportation between Kien Giang and Ho Chi Minh city has been temporarily halted.
