Lazare Eloundou Assomo, Director of the UNESCO World Heritage Center, said, “This exhibition is an excellent example of how inclusive and meaningful initiatives and partnerships can support the vision of cultural and creative capital, while disseminating the messages of spiritual beauty, hope, and peace.”
Painter Kim Duc said she wants to promote the good values of the lotus flower through her paintings.
“Before drawing a picture, I always think about how to draw so that ordinary people will feel happy when they see the picture, they smile. That's belief in our lives. I don't aim to find my own style or path. From the moment I entered the world of painting, I was clearly aware of what I would draw because the mission chose me,” she added.
The exhibition, running until March 31, is sponsored by UNESCO and the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.
