(VOVworld) – Malaysian authorities on Sunday called on 25 countries to help find its missing plane as the search reached its ninth day.

Malaysian Minister of National Defense and Transport Hishammuddin Hussein told a Sunday press conference that the Malaysian Prime Minister has spoken on the phone with his counterparts in Bangladesh, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and India about a co-operative search. He added that Malaysia is discussing with every country that has joined the search, the best possible way to deploy detecting devices across a northern belt, from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan to Northern Thailand, and across a southern belt, from Indonesia to the South Indian Ocean. Malaysia has also asked the US, China, France, and other countries to share their satellite and radar data.
