Mekong Delta festival on Khmer culture to take place in November
(VOVWORLD) - The Khmer ethnic minority’s culture, sports, and tourism potential festival will be featured at a festival to be held in the Mekong Delta province of Soc Trang in November.

The 3-day festival, starting November 6, will include a fashion show highlighting Khmer traditional costumes, a culinary event, and a boat race.
“The festival is a great chance for Khmer people in the southern region to meet and join hands to preserve their culture and traditions,” said Huynh Thi Diem Ngoc, Vice Chairwoman of Soc Trang and the festival’s chief organizer.
There are more than 1.3 million Khmer people in Vietnam. They live mostly in the Mekong Delta.
