(VOVworld) – The Southwest Steering Committee reviewed its performance in the first 6 months and discussed plans for the remainder of the year in Can Tho city on Wednesday.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh asked Mekong delta provinces to remove obstacles for businesses, boost economic restructuring, particularly in the agricultural sector, and increase cooperation between farmers and businesses to seek consumer markets. He also urged the provinces to apply scientific advances in order to increase product quality and value and work out plans to expand their markets.
