The resolution on sustainable development and climate change adaptation of the Mekong Delta was issued in 2017 and has pushed Vietnam’s biggest granary hub to thrive.
Tran Cong Thang, Director of the Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development, stressed the need to review the situation and map out a long-term strategy and systemic measures and policies for the region’s rapid and resilient development:
“Policy-makers like us want to approach resources to implement policies and support investors. It’s necessary to improve the capacity of localities in policy enforcement and supervision,” said Thang.
