(VOVworld) – French aviation experts said Wednesday that debris found washed up on Réunion Island in the French Indian Ocean, could be from missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, which disappeared more than a year ago.
The debris was found on Wednesday morning 380 nautical miles off the coast of Madagascar, on St.Andre, a region belonging to Reunion Island. It appeared to be part of a plane’s wing. Authorities are now investigating.
The UK newspaper “The Independent” quoted Xavier Tytelman, a former French military pilot who now specializes in aviation security, who reported on his personal blog page that pictures of the debris found on Réunion Island are extraordinarily similar to the wing of a Boeing 777 — like the Malaysian Airlines plane that went missing in 2014.
