Middle East struggles with Covid-19
(VOVWORLD) -Lebanon said on Sunday that three more people had tested positive for coronavirus after arriving from Iran, bringing the country’s total to 10.
The three patients, who had been in isolation at home, were quarantined at a Beirut hospital after showing symptoms. Lebanon closed schools this week and halted flights for non-residents from countries with severe outbreaks—China, Iran, Italy and South Korea.
Bahrain on Sunday confirmed six new coronavirus cases, raising Bahrain’s total to 47 cases.
The total number of confirmed cases in Iraq has jumped to 19 after six new cases were announced on Sunday. The new patients returned earlier to Iraq from neighboring Iran.
Iranian Health Minister Saeed Namaki said 300,000 experts will begin Monday to track and detect suspected cases virus nationwide.
