(VOVworld) - Minister of Planning and Investment Bui Quang Vinh paid a visit to Singapore this week to try to remove obstacles to bilateral cooperation and strengthen the economic connectivity between Vietnam and Singapore.

During his visit, Minister Vinh met with Singaporean Minister of Trade and Industry Lim Hng Kiang and leaders of International Enterprise Singapore, Sembcorp Development Ltd. He also chaired a seminar to encourage investment in Vietnam’s Phu Quoc Island in the southern province of Kien Giang. Minister Vinh said his meetings with Singapore officials focused on trade difficulties, investment, banking, and aviation, among other topics, to improve bilateral economic cooperation. On Wednesday, the Minister attended a seminar to promote investment in Ha Tinh province in petrochemicals, logistics, services, processing technology, and infrastructure.
