(VOVworld) - Minister of Public Security General Tran Dai Quang met with outgoing Chinese Ambassador Kong Xuanyou and new Thai Ambassador Panyarak Poolthup on separate occasions in Hanoi on Wednesday.

Minister of Public Security General Tran Dai Quang presents a gift to outgoing Chinese Ambassador Kong Xuanyou. 

At a reception for outgoing Chinese Ambassador Kong Xuanyou, Minister Quang said the Vietnamese Party, government, and people attach great importance to developing friendly cooperation with China. Vietnam considers the relationship a precious asset that should be consolidated. Quang expressed his hope that Kong will continue to foster bilateral cooperation between the two countries and that between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and Chinese law enforcement agencies.

The same day, talking to the new Thai Ambassador, Quang noted that cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand in all fields has improved steadily, contributing to the stable development of both nations. He added that cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry and Thai agencies has been strengthened, notably in the exchange of international crime data.
