(VOVworld)- The Steering Committee for Amnesty of the Ministry of Public Security held a training workshop on amnesty in 2013 in Hanoi on Wednesday. The participants were officials of the subordinating teams of the Amnesty Consultancy Council, the Sub-Steering Committee for Amnesty of the Police General Department and relevant agencies. They were trained on methods and ways to promptly implement the President’s decision on amnesty in 2013 to ensure the work’s efficiency. Since 1998, on the occasion of major events of the country, the Vietnamese State has granted amnesty for more than 150,000 prisoners.
