The festival featured a pan pipes performance, dances with umbrellas, folk singing, sporting competitions, and folk games. Various traditional crafts of Mong ethnic people including blacksmith, weaving, and brocading are showcased at the event. Mr. Bui Hai Binh, Vice Chairman of Dien Bien district’s People’s Committee and Head of the festival’s organizing board, said: “Many traditional cultural values of Mong ethnic people are preserved through community activities. We plan to hold the the festival biennially”.
