Proposals tabled included one by the Labour party proposing the establishment of a close economic relationship with the EU. The Labour party proposed that the UK sign a new tariff agreement with, and join certain agencies of, the EU. This is being called the soft Norway-style Brexit scenario, which ties the UK to the EU even after it ceases to be a member.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Unionist Party said a one-year Brexit delay would be better than agreeing to Theresa May’s Brexit deal.
