(VOVWORLD) - Muslims around the world are celebrating Eid al-Adha, also known as the Feast of the Sacrifice, which will last 3 days beginning Tuesday.

This is one of the most important festivals in the Muslim calendar, honoring the life of Prophet Ibrahim. More than two million Muslims from around the world will complete their Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.Tens of thousands of security personnel, including police and civil defence forces, have been deployed to ensure security during the festival.
