(VOVWORLD) -National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue on Wednesday visited the Hongqiao legislative center in Shanghai after leaving Beijing during his official visit to China.

The top legislator visited the exhibition area and heard an introduction to the Center; the relationship between the Center and the Law Commission of the National People's Congress (NPC) of China as well as agencies and organizations in the political system and locally.
In his remarks, Chairman Hue thanked the delegates for sharing vivid stories in the law-making process of the National People's Congress of China and of Shanghai.

Applauding China's law-making model, the National Assembly Chairman said that legislation is a basic function of the National Assembly, and legislative work is to serve people and businesses. Therefore, laws or state policies promulgated must come from the will, aspirations, thoughts and feelings of the people and the business community, he said.
“In law making process, the National Assembly of Vietnam adopted a motto that goes “in order for the law to come into life, life itself must be reflected in the law.” So, the process of collecting opinions and soliciting opinions from people and businesses is extremely important."
Chairman Hue also said that Vietnamese authorities are reviewing amendments and supplements to the Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents, adding that exchanges on a legislative model with of the National People's Congress of China, including the Hongqiao legislative center, are good experiences for reference.
