In welcoming remarks, the Mayor of Melbourne Sally Capp and Victoria's High Commissioner for Southeast Asia Rebecca Hall underlined the long-standing relationship between the two countries. In that good friendship, education cooperation is the bright spot and Vietnam is a top priority for Victoria.

Addressing the forum, Mr. Hue said he hopes that more Australian businesses would come to Vietnam to seek investment opportunities. He added that more forums will be held and the forum attendees will create momentum to boost economic, trade, and investment relations between the two countries.
