(VOVWORLD) -The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism needs to be more deeply aware of how much culture means to national sustainable development, continue to strengthen communications, and fulfill tasks of developing Vietnamese culture and people, said National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.

At a working session in Hanoi on Friday, Chairman Hue said that the Ministry is assigned with 38 tasks and groups of tasks and it needs to study the guiding speech Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong delivered at the National Culture Conference in November 2022.
“Continue to study the theoretical and practical foundation of the proposal to promulgate the Law on Fine Arts, the Law on Photography, the Law on Donation Sponsorship, and the Copyright Law, which can be separated from Intellectual Property Law. Institutes and ministries need to embark on thorough research of these topics,” he said.
The National Assembly Chairman asked the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to advise the Government and the National Assembly on urgent and specific issues for the comprehensive and uniform development of culture.
The Ministry should continue to work on projects as part of the existing national target programs and coordinate well in organizing the 9th Global Meeting of Young Parliamentarians in September this year, he said.
