NA Chairman urges better care of revolution contributors
(VOVWORLD) - Taking care of disabled war invalids, martyrs’ relatives, and revolutionary contributors is a consistent policy of the Party and State and the national tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source”, said National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue on Tuesday, as Vietnam marks the 74th War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).

Speaking at the NA's plenary session, Mr. Hue underscored the need to better care for revolutionary contributors to make sure that they enjoy living conditions at least equal to the average in their locality.
“Caring for revolutionary contributors is the responsibility of the political system and the people, and a contributing factor to social progress and equality," he said, "It reinforces the great national unity bloc and strengthens the people’s trust in the Party and State.”
He said legislators need to continue improving their sense of responsibility and operational efficiency, especially in building and completing the legal system, mechanisms, and policies to support revolutionary contributors, to ensure that they will enjoy the full benefits of those policies.
