Quang Nam has suffered huge damage caused by natural disasters with 61 people dead or missing and property loss estimated at 480 million USD, provincial People's Committee Chairman Le Tri Thanh told Chairwoman Ngan.

She urged Quang Nam to invest more in transport infrastructure to be connected to the provinces of Southern Laos and Northern Thailand and develop tourism because the tourism potential of Quang Nam is great with famous destination like Hoi An.

Visiting and giving gifts to people affected by floods and storm in Phuoc Son district, more than 100km from the center of Quang Nam province, National Assembly Chairwoman Ngan highly appreciated the help and support of the Vietnamese people for flood victims in the Central region and the efforts of local authority and the military to stabilize people’s lives, especially building resettlement areas for them when the New Year 2021 approaches. On this occasion, Chairwoman Ngan presented 121 gifts to flood victims in Phuoc Son district.

Visiting Thaco Chu Lai Industrial Park, the National Assembly Chairwoman emphasized that the company has turned towards agricultural and forestry production, including clean agricultural production.
