Prior to the discussion, Minister of Public Security To Lam delivered a report on law enforcement this year, saying that Vietnam has strengthened state management to ensure national security and defense.
“It’s necessary to monitor conditions inside and outside the country, counter sabotage attempts by hostile forces and reactionaries, and ensure the absolute safety of key political, cultural and social events in Vietnam. We will continue to launch campaigns against organized crimes and work closely with the Supreme People’s Court and the Supreme People’s Procuracy to investigate and prosecute major cases, to raise public awareness and strengthen crime prevention,” Minister Lam said.
The deputies heard reports on anti-corruption and the building of anti-corruption institutions.
“We need to review, revise, and fine-tune laws and ratify the revised Anti-Corruption Law to make the fight against corruption more effective,” Head of the NA’s Justice Committee Le Thi Nga said.
