(VOVWORLD) -The National Assembly, with the majority of votes in favor, on Monday, elected Le Minh Tri as Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court for the 2021-2026 term.

Deputies also elected Nguyen Huy Tien, Deputy Secretary of the Party Designated Representation and Deputy Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy, to be Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy for the 2021-2026 term.
The votes were held within the framework of the 8th extraordinary session of the 15th National Assembly on Monday.

In the afternoon, the National Assembly approved the Prime Minister's nominations of a number of deputy prime ministers and ministers for the 2021-2026 term.
The newly-approved deputy prime ministers are Politburo member and Secretary of the Party Central Committee Nguyen Hoa Binh, Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son.
Do Duc Duy, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the 15th National Assembly Delegation of Yen Bai province, now holds the position of Minister of Natural Resources and Environment. Nguyen Hai Ninh, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, now serves as Minister of Justice.
