Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung presented the Investment Policy Proposal of the Program, which sets seven overall goals and nine specific groups of targets.
It aims to contribute to preserving and upholding the value of the nation's unique cultural heritage and enhancing the country's position in the international arena through promoting soft power of the Vietnamese culture, international cultural integration, and absorbing the quintessence of human culture.
Presenting the report on examining the investment policy of the National Target Program on Cultural Development, Chairman of the National Assembly Committee for Culture and Education Nguyen Dac Vinh said that the Committee agrees with the need to invest in the program. He requested the National Assembly to approve the program implementation period of 2025-2035, which will be divided into three phases.
The implementation will contribute to increasing investment resources, meeting the requirements of comprehensive human development and building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity, so that culture can truly become a solid spiritual foundation of society, an endogenous strength, and a driving force for national development and defense.
