NA Standing Committee discusses ways to handle officials’ unjustifiable assets
(VOVWORLD) - The National Assembly Standing Committee convened its 27th meeting on Monday to comment on important draft laws and reports.

In her opening speech, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said the meeting will comment on reports on the settlement of complaints and denunciations and the fight against crimes, law violations, and corruption.
Regarding the revised anti-corruption law, Ms. Ngan proposed the National Assembly Standing Committee consider methods to address unjustifiable wealth via the court or personal income tax.
"Courts in 25 countries have been authorized to identify legal owners of assets. This method does not contradict regulations on accountability that are currently in force," said Madam Ngan.
