NA wraps up its Q&A session
(VOVWORLD) - The National Assembly wrapped up its Q&A session on Thursday. Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh clarified the government’s responsibilities and elaborated on ways to address losses of major projects, the process of a number of construction sites, and outlets for agricultural products.

The Deputy Prime Minister stressed the need to work out plans, apply science and technology in agricultural production and restructure the labor force. Binh said the government will review projects on infrastructure construction in the Mekong river Delta. He stressed the importance of promoting cooperation between localities to boost economic growth: “The Prime Minister has asked ministries and sectors to strengthen regional steering committee to enhance inter-regional connection. The government has submitted the National Assembly a plan to bring into play inter-regional connectivity chains to uphold local responsibility and tap local potential.”
Binh said that 18 trillion VND has been allocated for the sustainable poverty reduction program and 193 trillion VND for a new rural development program. He said the government has focused on improving people’s lives: “The government aims to make the national target program on sustainable poverty reduction a success. 48 trillion VND has been allocated for ethnic minorities, the disadvantaged, and coastal regions. The Prime Minister has also approved budget allocation and special policies for mountain ethnic regions in the 2017-2020 period.”
Addressing the closing of the 3-day Q&A session, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said: “Q&A sessions took place in a democratic atmosphere with 196 deputies providing questions and 58 rounds of discussions. NA deputies showed their sense of responsibilities. Government members clearly responded to deputies’ questions and introduced ways to stabilize the socio-economic situation.”
