(VOVWORLD) -National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue on Wednesday began a two-day working visit to the European Parliament in Belgium at the invitation of the President of the European Parliament David Sassoli.

The trip aims to promote the comprehensive partnership and cooperation between Vietnam and the EP and EU, boost economic diplomacy and the implementation of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), lobby parliaments of member countries to soon ratify the EVFTA, and foster parliamentary relations.
In Belgium, the National Assembly Chairman will meet a number of businesses that are implementing cooperation projects with Vietnam in energy, seaports, logistics, and information technology.
He will participate in investment promotion activities, business forums, meet business communities and receive a number of large enterprises to introduce the investment environment as well as projects calling for investment priorities.
The European Parliament visit is part of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue's tour of Europe to attend the fifth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Austria and pay working visits to Belgium and Finland from September 5-11.
