Both host and guest shared the view that Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith’s current visit to Vietnam vividly demonstrates the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

Chairman Hue said the Vietnamese leaders and people always keep a close watch on the situation in Laos, and Vietnam highly values the neighbouring country’s measures to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic.

The top legislator expressed his belief that with international support and its efforts, Laos will soon contain the pandemic, and continue to implement the resolution adopted at the 11th National Congress of the LPRP.

Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith agreed on the need for the two legislatures to increase high-level visits and meetings, and intensify collaboration and exchange of experience, especially in law making, and supervision over the operation of State agencies.

He said the new NA building of Laos, a valuable gift presented by Vietnam, has been put into use, stressing that the Lao people are proud of the gift.
