National Assembly Chairwoman begins official visit to Australia
(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan arrived in Canberra early Wednesday, beginning her official visit to Australia at the invitation of the Australian Parliament and government.

Ms. Ngan is planned to meet with high ranking leaders of Australia and the Vietnamese community and witnessed the signing of a program of action between the Vietnamese deputy minister of Science and Technology and the Australian deputy minister of Industry, Innovation, and Science.

In Perth, she will hold talks with high ranking leaders of the Western Australia State, deliver a speech at the Vietnam-Australia Business Dialogue, and visit the Vietnamese Consulate General.
The National Assembly Chairwoman’s visit aims to maintain delegation exchanges between the two parliaments in the framework of the agreements signed in March 2013 and call for Australian support for issues related to Vietnam’s interests such as ASEAN, APEC, and the East Sea.
