They praised the government efforts when asked to comment on Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s report delivered at the opening of the National Assembly session on Thursday. Deputy Tran Hoang Ngan of Ho Chi Minh city spoke to the press: “The government’s report focuses directly on shortcomings in the management of the economy as well as the determination to become a facilitating and transparent government to support the market economy. The government has implemented resolutions on improving the business environment, increasing competitiveness and supporting businesses until 2020”.
The deputies said they believe the government will be able to fulfill its tasks for 2017. Mr. Hoang Quoc Thuong, deputy head of the delegation of National Assembly deputies from Hai Duong province, said: “In 2017, with an overall goal and 13 specific targets, together with great determination by the government and sectors, I believe that all growth goals can be realized”.
Mr. Nguyen Thai Hoc is a deputy from Phu Yen province: “The Prime Minister’s report has showed the actions of the entire political system. The Party is cleaning itself, the government is aiming to become more transparent, and the National Assembly is boosting its role in law making and supervision. As well as these synchronous efforts, the government will achieve the set goals but more drastic measures are needed”.
