National Assembly opens 7th session
(VOVWORLD) -The National Assembly’s 7th session opens on Monday and will run for 20 days. The Assembly will decide major socio-economic, budget, and oversight issues. A Q&A session will run for 2 and half days.
Vice Head of National Assembly Office Nguyen Manh Hung said: “The National Assembly will consider approving 7 draft laws, 2 resolutions, and discuss 9 other draft laws. The laws to be approved include the revised Law on Education, Law on Archietecture, revised Law on Tax Management, revised Law on Enforcement of Criminal Judgement, Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Public Investment Law, Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Laws on Insurance Business and Intellectual Property, and the Law on Alcohol Harm Prevention. Deputies will also pass Resolution on Program for Making Laws and Ordinances in 2020 and amendments to Program for Making Laws and Ordinances in 2019, and the Resolution on ratifying the International Labor Organization’s Convention 98 concerning the Application of the Principles of the Right to Organize and to Bargain Collectively.”
The National Assembly will examine an oversight report on implementing laws and policies governing planning, management, and use of land in urban areas from the date the 2013 Law on Land took effect to the end of 2018. The deputies will also discuss reports which gauge implementation of socio-economic development and state budget plans for 2018 and the first months of 2019.
