(VOVworld)- The 8th session of the 13th National Assembly Standing Committee issued a statement following its conclusion in Hanoi on Saturday.

The meeting gathered members of the legislative body’s committees, ministries and relevant agencies. They commented on granting government bonds to a project to develop the coastal roads in Ninh Thuan province. They agreed on the government proposal to allocate 5.5 trillion dong of bonds to 19 irrigation projects in northern and the central highlands regions. Delegates also commented on preparations for the upcoming National Assembly session and measures to improve the body’s efficient performance. The Standing Committee adopted a resolution on a legal policy for people credited with revolutionary service.

Chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee, Phung Quoc Hien talks about policy to build houses for policy beneficiaries:“We should continue to implement the housing support policy for them, especially people facing residence difficulty. Specific policies should be initiated, for instance, sub-standard houses need to be repaired.”

The NA Standing Committee has asked the Government to increase the allowances and subsidies for people credited with service for the revolution in line with the roadmap for readjusting salaries and other incentives.
