National Institute of Ophthalmology to revise anti-blindness prog

(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan has praised the Vietnam National Institute of Ophthalmology (VNIO) as the core specialized unit in eye care services and the fight against blindness nationwide. During talks with staff of the institute on Monday, Nhan asked them to promote their heroic traditions to maintain the institute’s vanguard role on diagnosis, treatment, training, and scientific research.

prime minister urged the Ministry of Health and the VNIO to revise the national program of anti-blindness by 2020 to keep the blindness rate low and develop local ophthalmology institutes to reduce overload at the national institute.
