Dong Manh Hung, Head of VOV’s Secretariat and Editorial Department and General Secretary of the Festival, said that of the 170 finalists, 28 will receive gold prizes, 54 silver prizes, the rest are bronze and consolation prizes.
Gold prize winners have closely followed current affairs, politics and issues the public is most concerned about. Their format is lively, attractive, and meticulously crafted, he added.

“This year the National Radio Festival received many entries, which were invested rigorously in both content and format. Provincial and city radio and TV stations made strong investments to produce quality radio pieces to meet the public’s needs,” Hung said
There has been a more innovative approach as participants optimized the advantages of digital transformation into radio programming, especially live broadcast, to interact with and engage more audience. For the first time, Podcast was included as a category in the festival, as radio has been following the major shift of world journalism.
