(VOVWORLD) -Coach Park Hang-seo and his players of the Vietnam national team left for Singapore on Wednesday as they head to compete and defend their championship title at the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Cup 2020.

The squad held a warm-up session at the Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City in the morning before flying to Singapore in the afternoon.
Upon arriving in Singapore, the players will train at the stadium of Hougang United FC, which is located roughly 20 minutes from their accommodation.
On Monday, Park announced a shortlist of 30 players for the national line-up, comprising four goalkeepers, 13 defenders, eight midfielders, and five strikers ahead of the tournament. Notably, striker Do Hung Dung, who has just recovered from an injury, was also called in for the line-up.
The largest Southeast Asian football tournament is scheduled to be held from December 5 to January 1, 2022, in Singapore with the participation of 10 national teams from regional countries.
AFF cup holders Vietnam play in Group B alongside Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, and Laos. They are scheduled to take on Laos on December 6, Malaysia on December 12, Indonesia on December 15 and Cambodia on December 19.
