NATO chief proposes 100 billion euro military aid fund for Ukraine
(VOVWORLD) - NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has proposed a 100 billion euro (107 billion USD) five-year package of military aid to Ukraine in the next five years that would give NATO a more direct role in providing support to Kyiv.

Stoltenberg made the proposal at a moment when supplies from Western countries are running low in Ukraine.
The plan will be discussed during a two-day meeting in Brussels to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of NATO and prepare for a NATO summit in Washington in July.
Under the plan, NATO will take over some coordination work from a US-led coalition known as the Ramstein group. The meeting will provide an indication of how far Ukraine's European allies are willing to go to support Kyiv, with a 60-billion-dollar military aid package for Ukraine stalled in the US Congress.
