(VOVWORLD) - The leaders of the NATO military alliance issued a joint statement on Wednesday reaffirming their bond despite fierce disputes over spending and strategy in the run-up to their summit.
In the joint statement, NATO leaders reaffirmed Article Five of NATO’s Charter and recognized the "opportunities and challenges" presented by a rising China and Russia’s actions which threaten Euro-Atlantic security. The 29 NATO leaders vowed to stick together against threats from terrorism.
