(VOVworld)- NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseny Yatseniuk, and Parliamentary Speaker Alexander Turchinov met Thursday to discuss Western support for Ukraine's military defense. Support could include national planning and use of NATO fund to bolster command and control, communications, cyber defense and military transport. Rasmussen said NATO has ended cooperation with Russia, strengthened its defense forces to ensure security for its members, and passed a resolution to support Ukraine. NATO agreed to hold a private meeting with Ukraine at the NATO Summit scheduled for early next month in the UK.
